Trained to a higher standard.
State certification is the floor, not the ceiling. Every officer completes a layered training program before posting and continues development throughout their career.

The officer is the product.
You can buy uniforms. You can buy radios. The thing that separates one security company from another is the discipline, judgment, and training of the officer who shows up at your property.
That is why we treat training as a continuing investment, not a hiring checkbox. Officers receive structured initial training, post specific orientation for every account, and ongoing in service development across their tenure with us.
Pre Employment Screening
Before any candidate becomes an officer, they pass a multi step screening process built to surface character, judgment, and reliability.
- Federal and county criminal background check
- Drug screening
- Behavioral interview with operations leadership
- Reference verification including prior security or law enforcement supervisors
- Eligibility verification and right to work documentation
State Certification
Every First Class Security officer is licensed by the State of Tennessee. Armed officers complete additional firearms certification.
- Tennessee unarmed security officer certification
- Tennessee armed security officer certification (where applicable)
- Annual firearms qualification for armed officers
- State mandated continuing education hours
- Renewal tracking managed by First Class Security HR
Post Specific Orientation
Generic training is not enough. Before an officer takes their first shift at your property, they walk the site with a supervisor and learn the post orders specific to your account.
- Site walkthrough with supervisor and (when desired) client representative
- Review of post orders, escalation procedures, and emergency contacts
- Industry specific orientation (CRE, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.)
- Visitor management and access control system training
- Uniform standards specific to the account
Continuous Development
Training does not end on day one. Officers complete ongoing in service training and quarterly skills refreshers throughout their tenure.
- Quarterly in service training topics (de escalation, customer service, emergency response)
- Annual refresher on post orders for every account
- CPR and first aid certification (encouraged and reimbursed)
- Active threat response training
- Performance review with site supervisor on a recurring cadence
