The Case for Proactive and Reactive Coverage
The Wilder is an apartment community in East Nashville, near Shelby Park and the fast growing Brick Church Pike corridor, with gated access, on-site parking, and resort style amenities for its residents. Like any residential community, it depends on a security presence that residents can feel and rely on.
When First Class came on, the property's coverage was patrol only, and the community wanted two things it did not yet have: a consistent, visible presence residents could count on night to night, and a way to reach security directly when an issue came up. There was no reactive component — no number to call for a noise complaint, an after hours emergency, or another situation, and no officer who would be dispatched to handle it. Ownership wanted a partner who could provide both.
Proactive Patrol, Reactive Response
First Class Security took over the account with a shared security patrol built around the two things the community wanted most: a consistent, visible presence, and a way to get help when something happens.
Proactive Nightly Patrol
An officer patrols The Wilder every night on a randomized schedule. The coverage is consistent, but the timing is deliberately unpredictable, so no one watching the property can learn the pattern. Residents see a real, recurring security presence again.
Reactive On-Call Dispatch
When a resident or ownership calls about an emergency, a noise complaint, or another issue, First Class dispatches an officer to the property within 30 minutes. This reactive component gives residents and management a direct line to security, and it is used regularly.
Local, Accountable Coverage
The shared patrol model gives The Wilder a professional presence and real response without the cost of a full-time stationed officer, all coordinated by Nashville based supervision and dispatch.
Residents Judge a Community by Whether It Responds
Apartment residents measure a community on two things security touches directly: whether they feel safe day to day, and whether anyone responds when something goes wrong. A patrol delivers the first only when it is consistent, and on its own it does nothing for the second. Both halves matter.
The Wilder needed a partner that delivered a dependable, recurring presence and a real response channel — one number that residents and ownership could call and trust that an officer would be there.
A Dramatic Difference
Since taking over, First Class Security has delivered both halves of the service reliably: the randomized nightly patrol residents can see, and the 30 minute reactive dispatch they can call on. Both are used consistently, and the change in the day to day experience has been immediate and obvious to residents and ownership alike.
Wilder Ventures reports a dramatic difference in the security experience at the community.
The difference has been dramatic. What sets First Class apart is that they give us both sides of security — an officer patrolling The Wilder every night, and a real number we and our residents can call for a noise complaint or an emergency. That consistency and responsiveness has completely changed the experience at our community.
A Presence That Shows Up, and Answers When You Call
This engagement shows what multifamily communities actually need from security: consistency and responsiveness. The shared patrol model pairs a proactive, randomized nightly presence with a reactive dispatch that arrives within 30 minutes when residents or management call. It is professional coverage without the cost of a full-time stationed officer, backed by local Nashville dispatch and supervision that holds the standard shift after shift.
